SOFFE and Inside Cheerleading Announce the 2013 SOFFE All Star

SOFFE and Inside Cheerleading magazine are proud to announce Kori Wilbourn of Daphne, Ala. as the 2013 SOFFE All Star!

Wilbourn, a member of Gem of Champions- Black Diamonds squad, as well as the Varsity Cheerleading squad at Daphne High School, was amongst some 30 girls to interview with SOFFE at this past weekend's CHEERSPORT Nationals in Atlanta, Ga. Wilbourn left a lasting impression on the selection committee, with both SOFFE and Inside Cheerleading magazine feeling that she represents everything the SOFFE All Star should be and more!

Wilbourn's dedication to not only the sport of cheerleading, but also her friends and community made her a shining star amongst a host of talented applicants in this year's contest. Her fundraising work with the March Forth with Hope Foundation that provides financial assistance to families battling cancer or other life-threatening diseases set Wilbourn apart from the crowd. Additionally, she works as a coach for younger cheerleading athletes and passes out good luck ladybug charms at competitions as a display of sportsmanship.

Wilbourn will follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Brittany Deaville. As an ambassador and representative for SOFFE and its initiatives during her 2012-2013 term, Deaville served as the exemplary and gracious young face of SOFFE. Although her time has ended, Deaville's work will leave a lasting impression upon the All Star community and has set the bar high for Wilbourn and all future SOFFE All Stars.

As the 2013 winner, Wilbourn receives a complete SOFFE wardrobe, an all-expense paid trip to New York City and $1,000! She will also appear on the cover of the October issue of Inside Cheerleading magazine.

Both SOFFE and Inside Cheerleading magazine applaud all the outstanding young ladies in the running for this year's SOFFE All Star and look forward to a year of growth, outreach and service with Kori Wilbourn.
