Life is a RUNWAY, Walk RED, Talk RED

Fashion Designers Expo (FDE) and the Miami-Dade County Health Department have come together to impact our community during the FDE Shows scheduled for April 18th - 20th to spread word about the AIDS epidemic that has taken over South Florida. For over 6 years FDE has joined forces with several charities to impact the community but the AIDS epidemic has become a urgency for co-founder Karine Melissa. Miami-Dade County currently ranks number one in the nation, logging the highest number of new AIDS cases per capita in the United States. Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) currently ranks number two in the nation, logging the 2nd highest number of new AIDS cases per capita in the United States. FDE will open on Thursday April 18th with a VIP Cocktail reception to celebrate its opening night. Friday April 19th, FDE launches Rip the Runway MIAMI presented by J Global Entertainment featuring local urban and rock artists. Saturday April 20th, are the highly anticipated runway shows featuring the best in the emerging fashion industry; along with a RED tribute as KIDS in our community hit the runway in support of AIDS Awareness.
